Seminole Tribe Traffic Operations and Safety Study

HBC supported traffic operations simulations and safety studies for intersections along SR-7 / US-441 serving the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

HBC supported the Seminole Tribe of Florida with traffic operations and safety analysis along SR-7 / US-441 from Sheridan Street to Oakes Road. The study evaluated proposed concepts in a form suitable for FDOT consideration, helping the project team understand operations, safety needs, and potential improvements along the corridor.

The work included turning movement counts, origin-destination data collection, review and analysis of traffic operations, target speed studies, and signal warrant analyses for two locations. HBC also conducted signal retiming along the segment using Synchro to evaluate corridor operations and support recommended improvements.

The safety analysis included five years of crash data review using Crash Analysis Reporting and Signal Four Analytics data sources. HBC developed collision diagrams, recommendations, countermeasures, and benefit-cost analyses to help identify practical safety improvements for the corridor.
