Riviera Beach Water Treatment Plant Phase 1
HBC supported the progressive design-build delivery of Riviera Beach's advanced water treatment plant, a 12.0 MGD facility designed for future expansion to 16.0 MGD.
HBC was a key part of the progressive design-build team for the City of Riviera Beach Advanced Water Treatment Plant at the Avenue L parcel. Phase 1 included design and engineering for a 12.0 MGD advanced treatment facility with planned expansion to 16.0 MGD, along with supporting infrastructure needed for long-term reliability and future growth.
Our work supported the treatment facility, a new ground storage reservoir, and a finished water pump station to improve operational efficiency and system capacity. The project also included new groundwater supply wells in the Floridan and Surficial Aquifer Systems and approximately 18,000 linear feet of raw water transmission mains, supported by hydraulic modeling and transient surge analysis.
HBC also provided site and civil design for stormwater systems, paving and grading, raw water yard piping, and utility development at the Avenue L and Avenue U parcels, while coordinating permitting and project management. The result is a stronger, more reliable water system positioned for future demand. The project received the 2021 Project of the Year Category III award from the Cuban American Association of Civil Engineers.
