Construction Inspection

Boynton Beach Boulevard Safety Improvements

HBC provided Construction Engineering and Inspection services for Complete Streets improvements that made Boynton Beach Boulevard safer, more walkable, and better equipped for multimodal travel.

HBC provided Construction Engineering and Inspection services for Complete Streets improvements along a 0.659-mile section of SR-804/Boynton Beach Boulevard, from NW 3rd Street to US-1/Federal Highway. The goal was to improve safety, mobility, and the overall corridor experience through coordinated roadway, pedestrian, and multimodal upgrades.

The work included roadway repaving and reconstruction, wider sidewalks on both sides of the corridor, decorative hardscape features, drainage and erosion control, pedestrian lighting retrofits, shared lane bicycle markings, upgraded signing and pavement markings, and signal improvements such as detection, poles, cabling, and auxiliary equipment. The project also involved concrete and asphalt installations, gravity walls, curbs, gutters, driveways, and utility and conduit adjustments needed to support the rebuilt corridor.

HBC managed document control, led progress meetings, addressed RFIs and Change Orders, and supervised CEI staff in the field. We also prepared daily reports and photo documentation while coordinating closely with project stakeholders to keep the work aligned with contract requirements, schedule, and quality expectations. The project received the 2025 Florida Transportation Builders' Association Best in Construction Award for MOT.
