Advanced Traffic Management System
HBC helped Miami-Dade County modernize traffic operations across roughly 3,000 signalized intersections through large-scale signal data migration, testing, and deployment support.
Miami-Dade County is upgrading how it manages traffic at approximately 3,000 signalized intersections through a new Advanced Traffic Management System. The program is a major step toward improving mobility and safety for drivers, transit users, pedestrians, and cyclists across the County.
HBC played a direct implementation role by migrating signal data, running bench tests, and signing and sealing the updated timing packages for deployment. We converted legacy KITS data into SEPAC format for Yunex 2070LX controllers using TACTICS software, making sure each location met MDC-DTPW requirements before it moved to the field.
We also corrected outdated Signal Operation Plans, fixed timing and phasing issues, and resolved bench and field testing failures as they surfaced. On a compressed schedule, HBC successfully migrated, tested, and cleared more than 1,400 signal assets, helping keep one of South Florida's largest ITS upgrades moving forward.
